NedTrain gaat Noorse Class 7 moderniseren

Het Noorse staatsspoorbedrijf Norges Statsbaner (NSB) laat twintig treinen in Nederland ombouwen en moderniseren.

De zogenaamde Class 7-treinen worden bij NS-dochter NedTrain in Haarlem voorzien van een nieuw uiterlijk, interieur en reizigersinformatiesysteem.

NedTrain sleepte de opdracht binnen na een Europese aanbesteding, waar zes Europese concurrenten aan meededen. De Noren waren onder de indruk van de manier waarop de oude NS-dubbeldekkers de afgelopen jaren door NedTrain werden omgebouwd tot nieuwe intercity's, aldus NS.
