Extra parkeerplaatsen voor treinreizigers

Komend jaar moeten er bij stations nog eens 7500 extra parkeerplaatsen worden aangelegd in de vorm van een zogeheten Park+Ride.

Dat zei staatssecretaris Wilma Mansveld (Spoor) donderdag bij een bezoek aan zo'n parkeerplaats in Amersfoort. In totaal heeft Nederland 40.000 Park+Ride-plaatsen bij stations. Dat is inclusief 7500 nieuwe plekken die recent werden aangelegd. Daarnaast zijn er nog eens 30.000 van deze parkeerplekken rondom steden.
