Verhoging maximum snelheid treinen

De Tweede Kamer wil dat nieuwe intercity’s voortaan 200 kilometer per uur gaan rijden waar dat mogelijk is.

Staatssecretaris Wilma Mansveld (Spoor) moet met de NS gaan afspreken dat nieuw aan te schaffen materieel op deze snelheid is berekend.

Het plan van de ChristenUnie en GroenLinks kreeg dinsdag de steun van een meerderheid in de Kamer. „De reistijd tussen de Randstad en de rest van Nederland moet korter. NS moet hier bij de komende bestellingen van nieuwe treinen rekening mee houden”, aldus Carla Dik-Faber van de ChristenUnie.
