OCCR: Operationeel Controle Centrum Rail

Minister Schultz van Infrastructuur en Milieu heeft de Kamer bewust op het verkeerde been gezet over de effectiviteit van een crisiscentrum Rail.

Dit zogenoemde OCCR werd in 2010 geopend en moet er voor zorgen dat het treinverkeer na grote verstoringen sneller op gang komt. Een kritisch rapport over het crisiscentrum verdween in een diepe la, zo blijkt uit onderzoek van RTL.

Het ministerie van Infrastructuur en Milieu investeerde ruim 16 miljoen euro in de bouw en inrichting van het OCCR, een hypermodern crisiscentrum. Door spoorbeheerder ProRail, vervoerde NS en onderhoudsbedrijf Nedtrain bij elkaar te zetten, in één Operationeel Controle Centrum Rail, moest de treinenloop zo goed mogelijk worden gegarandeerd, en bij verstoringen sneller worden hervat.
