Taskforce Veiliger Openbaar Vervoer

Minister Spies van BZK en minister Schultz van IenM stellen een overbruggingssubsidie voor twee maanden beschikbaar voor de inzet van bovenregionale veiligheidsteams in het openbaar vervoer.

Met deze subsidie kunnen de zestig toezichthouders, die in het kader van een proefproject tot 1 september zijn ingezet, in dienst blijven. Vanaf november 2012 wordt het project voortgezet door de regionale overheden en openbaar vervoerbedrijven. Het project, dat op 1 september 2011 is gestart, laat veelbelovende tussenresultaten zien. De beide ministers staan hier positief tegenover.
