Verbouwing station Gorinchem

GORINCHEM - De bouw van een lift op station Gorinchem voor rolstoelers en mensen met rollators of kinderwagens blijkt nog niet zo'n eenvoudige aangelegenheid.

De mogelijkheden worden nu onderzocht. Waarschijnlijk moet dan ook een nieuwe tunnel worden gegraven.
,,We weten van de afspraken, maar de aanbesteding viel tegen,'' aldus wethouder Marcel Doodkorte. ,,We hebben nu overleg met de provincie en hopen dat de lift en de tunnel volgend jaar kunnen worden aangelegd.'' Wethouder Doodkorte deed deze mededeling tijdens de gemeenteraadsvergadering in antwoord op vragen van SP-gemeenteraadslid Eva Dansen. Zij zet zich al jaren in voor een goede bereikbaarheid van beide perrons.
